Job Title: Production Assembler
Job Description
The Production Assembler performs semi-repetitive assembly and adjustment tasks using a variety of hand tools and simple power tools in a wood manufacturing environment. This role focuses on general production, mechanical assembly, inspection, and packaging, following blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure high-quality finished products.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly and adjustment tasks of a semi-repetitive nature using hand tools and simple power tools.
- Follow blueprints, drawings, manuals, procedure manuals, and assembly materials to correctly assemble products.
- Carry out general production and mechanical tasks as directed to support manufacturing operations.
- Inspect assembled parts and products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Package finished products safely and efficiently for shipment or further processing.
- Use hand tools and power tools in a safe and controlled manner, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and safety.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Report any issues with materials, tools, or equipment to the appropriate personnel to minimize downtime.
Essential Skills
- Ability to stand for 8 or more hours per day and perform repetitive work.
- Comfortable working with a variety of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read materials such as manuals, procedure manuals, and assembly materials and apply the content to daily tasks.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Attention to detail when assembling, inspecting, and packaging products.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform general production and assembly tasks.
- Willingness and ability to work in a wood manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- No prior manufacturing experience required; training is provided.
- Comfort with general labor tasks in a production setting.
- Willingness to learn and follow established processes and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
