Job Description
The Order Fulfillment Specialist ensures that customer orders are accurately picked, packaged, and prepared for shipment according to detailed specifications. This role is responsible for verifying order details, performing final quality checks, coordinating shipments, and supporting inventory activities to ensure timely and precise delivery of finished products.
Responsibilities
- Review work orders and pick finished products to match customer specifications and requirements.
- Verify order accuracy, including quantities, sizes, cut types, and finishing details before packaging.
- Package orders using appropriate methods such as shrink wrap, polybagging, labeling, and boxing.
- Prepare shipments for delivery by staging, palletizing, and coordinating with carriers as needed.
- Perform final quality checks on matboards, printed materials, and other finished products to ensure they meet standards.
- Track and organize completed orders to ensure they are shipped on time and to the correct destination.
- Assist with inventory activities for matboard stock, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Communicate regularly with the production team to prioritize, schedule, and complete orders efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled shipping and staging areas.
- Follow safety procedures and proper material handling practices at all times.
Essential Skills
- Experience with order entry or computer-based data processing.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry for order and inventory information.
- Hands-on experience with order processing in a production, warehouse, or fulfillment environment.
- Basic inventory management skills, including tracking and organizing stock.
- Strong attention to detail when verifying quantities, sizes, and finishing specifications.
- Ability to follow written work orders and standard operating procedures.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with production and shipping teams.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as picking, packaging, and palletizing orders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with shipping preparation processes, including staging and coordinating with carriers.
- Comfort working with packaging methods such as shrink wrap, polybagging, labeling, and boxing.
- Experience working with printed materials or matboards is beneficial.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple orders and maintain orderly work areas.
- Reliability and flexibility to support occasional overtime and Saturday work when required.

Work Environment
This position operates in a production and shipping environment on a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with some overtime starting as early as 5:00 a.m. and occasional Saturday overtime from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The role involves working around matboards, printed materials, and finished goods, using packaging equipment and materials such as shrink wrap, polybags, labels, and boxes. Work is performed in organized shipping and staging areas that require careful material handling and adherence to safety procedures. The environment is active and hands-on, with regular interaction with production and shipping personnel.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
