Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter to perform precision painting, coating, and finishing operations on aircraft parts, assemblies, and related equipment. This role requires expertise in interpreting technical documents, operating specialized equipment, and applying protective and finish coatings to meet quality and safety standards. General Responsibilities Move and obtain correct parts, materials, and tools as directed. Use precision measuring instruments to accomplish work assignments. Access and navigate electronic systems required for position programs (training provided). Work safely and maintain a safe environment in compliance with company safety requirements. Train, coach, and assist fellow employees as requested. Maintain required personal certifications and qualifications. Ensure equipment and tool certifications are completed per procedure. Report job handicaps such as errors in parts, procedures, tools, or sequences. Representative Duties (Tulsa Only) R ead and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, planning documents, sketches, engineering orders, and electronic work instructions. Set up and operate chern-mill processing equipment to remove specified amounts of metal from sheet metal parts, assemblies, extrusions, and forgings. Operate ovens, furnaces, and quenching tanks to heat treat metal parts made from aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and other metals. Set up and operate processing equipment to anodize, electroplate, or clean metal parts and assemblies. Operate paint spraying equipment or apply coatings by dip, roll, or brush for prime, protective, or finish coats. Thin and mix paints and surfacing materials. Operate robotic spray coating equipment, including programming, masking, mixing, and controlling spray flow rates. Apply finish coats requiring precision in difficult access areas, ensuring smooth or wrinkle finishes as required. Seperate robotic spray equipment to apply radar absorptive materials. Perform rework and touch-up as needed. Record manufacturing data and statistics manually or via computer systems. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in aircraft painting, coating, or related finishing operations. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints. Skilled in operating painting and coating equipment, including robotic systems. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards. Preferred Qualifications (if any) Prio r experience in aerospace manufacturing or aircraft maintenance environments. Familiarity with anodizing, electroplating, and heat treatment processes. Certifications (if any) Relevant painting/coating certifications as required by company standards. Safety and equipment operation certifications. Education: High School
