Job Description

This hybrid role combines general warehouse responsibilities with non-CDL delivery driving, supporting a busy, well-organized facility with high inventory volume. You will primarily focus on picking and preparing orders using RF scanners and material handling equipment, while also assisting with deliveries in company vans as needed. The team provides training on warehouse processes and equipment, making this a strong opportunity for someone with foundational experience who is eager to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general warehouse duties, including picking, packing, and preparing customer orders using RF scanners.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload inventory safely.
  • Load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles, ensuring items are handled carefully and organized correctly.
  • Assist with delivery driving in non-CDL vans and box trucks when needed, transporting materials to customers or other locations.
  • Handle inventory within a busy warehouse environment, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in warehouse operations.
  • Support warehouse production activities, including staging materials, organizing boxes, and maintaining a clean, orderly work area.
  • Use RF scanners to track inventory and confirm order details, helping maintain accurate records of materials and shipments.
  • Work collaboratively with a small team of warehouse colleagues, communicating clearly to coordinate daily tasks and priorities.
  • Arrive on time consistently and maintain reliable attendance to support daily operations and delivery schedules.
  • Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment and performing warehouse and driving duties.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of warehouse experience, including exposure to general labor and warehouse operations.
  • 1–2 years of delivery driving experience with non-CDL vehicles such as vans or box trucks.
  • Hands-on experience using RF scanners for picking, packing, or inventory tracking.
  • Demonstrated warehouse background, including loading, unloading, and material handling.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Strong reliability and punctuality, with a proven track record of consistent attendance.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of boxes and inventory.
  • Basic understanding of loading and unloading trucks and delivery vehicles.
  • Ability to follow instructions, adhere to safety guidelines, and complete tasks with attention to detail.
  • Valid driving experience suitable for operating delivery vehicles in a professional setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Willingness to be trained on warehouse equipment and processes; previous forklift experience is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with warehouse pick/pack and warehouse production activities.
  • Familiarity with material handling practices and safe lifting techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment and support coworkers as needed.
  • Comfort driving delivery vehicles and navigating local routes.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to not calling out frequently.
  • Interest in long-term growth within a stable, family-oriented company.
  • Capability to adapt between warehouse tasks and delivery driving based on operational needs.

Why Work Here?

Join a long-standing, family-owned organization that has been successfully operating for multiple generations and values its employees as part of its extended family. You will benefit from a supportive culture that invests in training, offers clear opportunities for growth, and celebrates team success through employee events and parties. Once hired on permanently, you can access a full benefits package, providing stability and security as you develop your career in a welcoming and collaborative environment.

Work Environment

You will work in a packed but organized maintenance material warehouse that manages a large volume of boxes and inventory. The facility is comfortable, neither cold nor hot, and designed to support efficient warehouse operations. You will use RF scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment while working alongside a small team of warehouse staff. The role involves both warehouse tasks and time on the road in non-CDL delivery vans and box trucks, requiring flexibility to shift between indoor warehouse activities and driving duties as needed. Attire should be practical and suitable for physical work in a warehouse setting.
