Shop Hand – Welding Career Opportunity

Pay: $22–$26/hr

Shifts Available: Day, Swing & Weekend

Schedule: 4x10s Available + Overtime

We are hiring Shop Hands interested in developing skills in fabrication, structural steel manufacturing, and welding. This is a great opportunity for individuals with construction, assembly, manufacturing, mechanical, or trade experience who want to build a long-term career. You'll gain hands-on experience while learning valuable skills that can lead to advancement opportunities within the shop.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare steel materials using hand and power tools
  • Clean, grind, and prep parts for fabrication and coating
  • Assist with assembly and material handling
  • Read work orders and production instructions
  • Mix and prepare paint and protective coatings
  • Apply coatings according to established procedures
  • Record quality and production information
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Support fabrication and production teams as needed
  • Participate in quality assurance processes
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, construction, fabrication, roofing, siding, warehouse, mechanical, or other hands-on work preferred
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16"
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to safely handle and move materials

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
