Job Description
Step into an engaging, contract-based opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, supporting students in a dynamic elementary setting near Arvada, CO. This onsite position begins August 11 and runs through May 21, 2027, providing the chance to positively influence students' growth and help them thrive throughout the school year. With a consistent schedule of three days per week, you'll have the time to develop meaningful interventions and build strong relationships within the school community.
Ideal candidates will bring enthusiasm and dedication to pediatric occupational therapy, along with a focus on student-centered care. Applicants must have CDE certification, or be actively applying with documented proof to be considered.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid Colorado OT license
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification, or proof of active application
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Passion for working with elementary-aged children
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess students and develop individualized treatment plans to support their educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate students’ participation in school activities
- Implement therapy sessions and adapt strategies for diverse learning needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Serve as a resource to school teams on occupational therapy-related issues
