Prelitigation Paralegal - Personal Injury
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Prelitigation Paralegal to join our Personal Injury team. This role is essential for assisting attorneys in all aspects of litigation, including case preparation, document management, and client communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and a passion for advocating for clients' rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of cases for trial and settlement negotiations.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information.
- Manage case files and maintain organized documentation of all case materials.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases.
- Prepare trial exhibits and assist in trial preparation as needed.
- File documents with the court and ensure compliance with deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in personal injury law.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes and legal terminology.
- Proficient in legal research and case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
