Shift: 2nd shift 3p-11p or 3rd shift 11p-7a (must be able to train on 1st shift 4-6 weeks)

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Material Handlers to join our team, with positions available on both the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Successful candidates will be involved in handling materials in either the sheet metal bay or the bar bay, depending on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Select and sort orders using high reach/side loader forklifts and sit-down forklifts.
• Operate overhead cranes when necessary.
• Load trucks and band various metals.
• Lift materials up to 55 pounds independently; team lifting or forklift assistance for heavier items.
• Participate in initial training sessions, including safety, core values, and procedural duties.
• Obtain certifications for forklifts and overhead cranes during the training period.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating sit-down forklifts, stand-up/side loader forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Ability to perform order pulling and material handling.
• Strong accountability, safety consciousness, and willingness to assist others.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in saw operation, metal working, deburring, and metal grinding is advantageous.
• A proven track record of reliability and eagerness to learn is highly valued.

Work Environment

Our recently expanded facility now spans 197,000 square feet, featuring a modern and well-lit working environment. With 95% of our machinery being less than a year old, you will be working with state-of-the-art equipment. Our 2nd shift runs from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the busiest shift requiring 52-55 hours weekly. The 3rd shift operates from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with expectations of 45-50 hours weekly. All overtime will be scheduled after the regular shift hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hellam, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
