Materials Specialist

JOB SUMMARY Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Buyer/Materials Specialist for an 18-month assignment. This role is critical in managing procurement processes, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services, and optimizing inventory levels. Key Responsibilities - Execute purchase orders and solicit bids from vendors. - Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers. - Track orders and ensure timely delivery. - Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate vendor performance. - Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments. - Resolve discrepancies in orders and invoicing. - Collaborate with internal departments to understand material needs. - Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
