Job Title: Order Puller
Job Description
This role is responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling, preparing, packaging, and completing a variety of customer orders in a warehouse environment. You will work from packing slips and pick lists to fill retail, plumbing wholesale, HVAC, UPS, truck, and customer pick-up orders, ensuring each order is processed correctly and ready for shipment or collection.
Responsibilities
- Read and follow instructions on packing slips and pick lists to pull orders accurately and completely.
- Complete pick lists and pull orders within prescribed performance guidelines and timelines.
- Fill orders from the Receiving Department when product has not yet been moved to designated pick locations.
- Pack and label boxes and skids in a manner that prevents damage to pipe, boxes, and other products during handling and shipping.
- Bag and box products by hand, including individual inners, master cartons, and special quantities, prior to auditing.
- Complete special label orders as needed to meet customer or internal requirements.
- Work collaboratively as a team member when training, supporting other order pullers, or auditing their orders for accuracy.
- Follow all OSHA requirements as well as established safety policies, procedures, and rules.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station throughout the shift.
- Handle physical tasks, including occasionally lifting and moving items weighing up to 70 pounds.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience picking, pulling, preparing, packaging, or completing orders from packing slips or similar order documents in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists, packing slips, and other order documentation accurately.
- Experience with order pulling, inventory handling, general labor, shipping and receiving, and scanning.
- Familiarity with RF scanners or similar warehouse scanning technology for inventory and order processing.
- Capability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting up to 70 pounds and moving products safely.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure orders are filled accurately and completely.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and OSHA requirements in a warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred: 3 years of work-related experience picking, pulling, preparing, packaging, and completing orders in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with picking, packing, loading, and managing warehouse inventory.
- packaging products for shipment, including boxing, bagging, and palletizing.
- Comfort working with a variety of order types, including retail, plumbing wholesale, HVAC, UPS, truck, and customer pick-up orders.
- Ability to adapt to different departments and tasks within the warehouse as needed.

Work Environment

Noise levels are usually quiet to moderate but can become loud at times depending on department activities and the use of tools and equipment. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
