Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in educational settings by providing occupational therapy services to students in the school environment. This contract opportunity is based onsite and scheduled to start on August 11, with commitment through May 21, 2027. The position offers a three-day-per-week schedule, allowing you to bring your expertise and passion for pediatric care to students in need of your support.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in school settings preferred
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification is required; candidates actively applying for CDE (with proof) will also be considered
- Strong skills in individualized assessment, intervention planning, and documentation
- Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and other related service providers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based occupational therapy services to support students’ academic success and daily functioning
- Evaluate students using standardized assessments and develop individualized therapy goals
- Implement interventions tailored to each student’s needs within the school environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate recommendations to educational teams
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports according to district guidelines
- Work collaboratively with faculty and families to integrate therapy strategies outside of sessions
