If you’ve ever dreamed of working as a Kitchen Manager or Prep Cook, this position might provide you with a great start. Job Duties - Operate the industrial dishwasher - Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary - Empty and clean all trash receptacles restock the line and surrounding areas with clean plates, pots, pans and containers - Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources - Clean dish storage, sweep and mop floors as needed - Follow sanitation policies at all times - Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times - Perform opening, closing and side work - Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately • Changing dish machine and 3 compartment sink water every 2 hours. • Keep the loading dock clean and organized. • Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen • Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that a spill or accident happens. • Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans when necessary. • Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting them with other tasks as needed (i.e. frying chips, making guacamole, putting braises away, etc.) • Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures to direct supervisor. • Perform additional cleaning duties and requested. • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
