American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a CA RN license and 2 years of OR experience with Epic charting.
Details\n- \n
- Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting \n
- Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule with variable start times (0630-1500, 0830-1700, 1100-1830) \n
- 13-week assignment length \n
- Epic charting system used \n
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate/sister facilities \n
- Handles a variety of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, vascular, urology, neurology, and thoracic procedures \n
- Utilizes robotic surgery equipment including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System \n

- Active CA RN license required in hand at time of submission \n
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS \n
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required \n
- Epic charting experience required \n
- Copies of certifications required for consideration \n
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required \n
- Skills/experience in trauma cases, general surgery, orthopedic, endoscopic, and vascular procedures preferred \n

- Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties across a range of surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, vascular, urology, neurology, and thoracic surgery \n
- Willingness to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) required \n
- Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of the facility, or accept a lower bill rate if outside this radius \n
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility \n
- First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for this role \n
