Description

The Fire TI Lead Technician is responsible for leading the onsite installation of commercial fire life safety systems while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, electrical codes, and industry regulations. This hands-on leadership role oversees a crew performing fire alarm installations, including demolition, rough-in work, wire pulling, device installation, troubleshooting, testing, and project closeout.

The Lead Technician serves as the primary onsite contact for customers, communicates daily with project management, maintains accurate project documentation, and ensures materials, equipment, and resources are prepared for successful execution. This position requires the ability to interpret construction drawings, troubleshoot fire alarm systems and networks, mentor technicians, and deliver high-quality installations while maintaining exceptional customer service and adherence to safety standards. Fire alarm programming experience and manufacturer certifications are preferred.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial low voltage installation experience
  • Experience installing commercial fire life safety/low voltage systems
  • Previous lead or crew leadership experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read construction drawings and troubleshoot low voltage systems
  • Valid California driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work on construction sites, ladders, and in confined spaces
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, nights, and rotating shifts as needed
  • Manufacturer training/certifications preferred
  • Reliable attendance and strong commitment to workplace safety
