Boston's Bridge to Excellence is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood team. The Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development. The Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development. Curriculum & Instruction
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Massachusetts EEC guidelines.
- Teach early literacy, language, math, science, and social-emotional skills through play-based learning.
- Create engaging learning experiences that encourage creativity, exploration, and independence.
- Adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of all learners.
- Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
- Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress.
- Promote positive behavior using nurturing and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Build positive partnerships with families through regular communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and school partners to support children's success.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations and BBTE policies.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessments, and required documentation.
- Follow classroom health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Meet Massachusetts EEC Preschool Teacher qualifications.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to successfully complete all required Background Record Checks (BRC), CORI, and fingerprinting.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Experience in an EEC-licensed early childhood program.
- Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
