Land Rights Researcher

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Land Rights Researcher to join our professional, modern office environment in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This position offers comprehensive on-the-job training, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career.

As a Land Rights Researcher, you will

• Research railroad deeds, easements and historical land data.
• Review engineering drawings, maps, deeds, and easements to approve railroad crossings.
• Use GIS tools and navigate county/state websites.
• Interpret and write legal descriptions for easements, deeds and leases.
• Complete small projects as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Experience in Real Estate, Research, Geography, or a related field.

·         Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Earth Pro, ArcGIS & land record systems.

• Familiarity with real estate related to easements, rights-of-way, and legal descriptions.
