Construction Laborer

Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our clients team as General Laborers in their concrete manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on position that involves various stages of the concrete production process. Team members will be cross-trained and may work in multiple departments depending on production needs. Previous construction, manufacturing, or concrete experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Build, assemble, and prepare concrete forms and molds according to production specifications.
• Set, strip, clean, and maintain concrete molds for reuse.
• Tie and place rebar and reinforcing materials within molds.
• Mix, pour, and finish concrete products while maintaining quality standards.
• Perform dry finishing tasks including grinding, patching, sanding, and repairing concrete surfaces.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with moving materials, setting inserts, and preparing products for curing.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet company specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and production schedules.
• Assist with other general labor duties as assigned throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, concrete, masonry, or general labor is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow work instructions.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and a positive work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and climb throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.

The estimated hours salary range for this position is $20 per hour, though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
