Planer Feeder - Mountain View - Now Hiring

Penmac Staffing is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Planer Feeder to join our rough mill operations in Mountain View. In this role, you will operate surfacing equipment to process lumber while maintaining quality standards, production efficiency, and a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a surfacer and associated control panels.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing feed belts.
• Process rough lumber safely and efficiently.
• Use compressed air, brooms, racks, and wood handling equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, equipment guarding requirements, and company policies.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Work Environment

• Indoor manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, including heat and cold.
• Exposure to wood dust, noise, and vibration.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand for extended periods.
• Lift, pull, push, and reach throughout the shift.
• Bend frequently.
• Walk throughout the work area.
• Occasionally kneel, stoop, and carry materials.
• Perform repetitive physical tasks in a production environment. 

Safety Requirements

Employees must follow all established safety procedures, including:

• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Safe operating procedures for machinery.
