Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker / CNC Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC equipment while fabricating, repairing, and maintaining precision tooling used in the production of aerospace components. The ideal candidate has experience with CNC machining, toolmaking, or machine shop operations and is committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision tooling and components.
- Fabricate, modify, repair, and maintain tooling, fixtures, jigs, and dies used in production.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Perform precision machining operations while maintaining tight tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Make machine adjustments and tool offsets to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain tooling specifications and production records as required.
- Follow all quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and workplace safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, Toolmaker, or in a machine shop environment required.
- Ability to set up and operate CNC equipment independently.
- Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality parts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
