Credentialing Specialist



We are looking for a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join a services organization in Greenwood Village, Colorado. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage provider enrollment and credentialing activities with accuracy, discretion, and strong follow-through. The person in this role will support documentation, reporting, and payer-related submissions while partnering with internal teams to keep records current and complete.



Responsibilities:


• Prepare and submit payer enrollment applications and related documentation in both digital and paper formats with a high level of accuracy.


• Coordinate credentialing and contracting requests by collecting required materials and ensuring each submission is complete and properly documented.


• Work with Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to obtain licenses, supporting records, and other required information for credentialing files.


• Monitor assignment status, deadlines, and progress updates using company systems to maintain an organized workflow.


• Protect sensitive information and keep organizational records updated in accordance with internal standards and privacy expectations.


• Support research efforts, compile data, and help produce reports that track credentialing activity and submission outcomes.


• Contribute to special projects and provide additional administrative support as business needs evolve.


• Follow established company policies, procedures, and quality expectations in all aspects of daily work.

• Previous experience in healthcare credentialing, provider enrollment, or a closely related function is strongly preferred.


• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid processes, including payer-related documentation requirements.


• At least one year of relevant experience requiring strong attention to detail, or an equivalent combination of education and practical training.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.


• Ability to gather information, organize records, and prepare clear, accurate reports.


• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment when handling confidential information, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.


• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate successfully across teams.


• Familiarity with medical and legal terminology, along with keyboarding skills of at least 40 words per minute.
