The University of Kansas Health System – Great Bend Campus is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join its Laboratory team. This full-time night shift role offers a unique 7-on/7-off schedule, allowing for excellent work-life balance while delivering precise and timely diagnostic testing to support exceptional patient care.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Night Shift
• 7 days on / 7 days off schedule
• 3 shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• 4 shifts: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM (10-hour shifts)
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and analysis according to established procedures.
• Ensure accuracy, quality control, and compliance with laboratory standards.
• Operate laboratory equipment and maintain proper documentation.
• Analyze patient specimens and report results promptly.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) experience required.
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory quality standards.

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $24–$34/hour (based on experience)
