USPRO Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Machinist to support production operations within a precision manufacturing environment in Greenville, SC. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and adjustment of EDM and CNC equipment to ensure production output meets quality and efficiency standards.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong machining fundamentals, blueprint interpretation skills, and the ability to support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with safety and operational requirements.

This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and adjustment of EDM and CNC equipment to ensure production output meets quality and efficiency standards.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong machining fundamentals, blueprint interpretation skills, and the ability to support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with safety and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate EDM, CNC, and related machining equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been established.
- Make edits and machine adjustments as required to produce parts to work order and blueprint specifications.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of feeds, speeds, cutting tools, and machining applications.
- Perform dimensional inspections and verify compliance to specifications and drawings.
- Produce quality parts while meeting production and efficiency expectations.
- Complete production paperwork accurately including scrap, counts, labor tracking, and inspection documentation.
- Maintain equipment, tooling, and work areas in clean and organized condition.
- Complete operator maintenance sheets and basic machine upkeep.
- Assist with training and mentoring other team members as needed.
- Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving machining or process-related issues.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing objectives.
- Follow OSHA, environmental, health, and safety procedures always.
- Support additional manufacturing tasks and department objectives as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with CNC, EDM, CMM, or related machining equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and dimensional inspection.
- Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
- Experience working within Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Manufacturing ERP systems such as JobBOSS.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Experience machining tight-tolerance components.
- Experience supporting high-volume or precision manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Military manufacturing or machining experience may substitute for some requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and repetitive motion throughout the shift
- Ability to work safely around moving mechanical equipment and manufacturing machinery
The work environment may include:
- Exposure to machining noise and vibration
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and manufacturing equipment
- Contact with cutting fluids and oils
- Indoor production environment with temperature variation
- Exposure to fumes, dust, or airborne particulates typical of machining environments
