Title : Lacing Technician
Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay: $22 an hour
Shift : 1st and 2nd shift
Job Summary
The Lacing Technician is responsible for assembling large heat exchanger coil sections by pulling coils from crates and layering them into structural frames. This role is essential in building industrial cooling equipment by carefully stacking and securing coil bundles—similar to assembling a "metal lasagna"—to ensure proper airflow, fit, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull large coil bundles from crates using proper lifting techniques and/or material handling equipment.
- Layer and position coils into heat exchanger frames according to specifications.
- Align, lace, and secure coils to ensure proper spacing and structural integrity.
- Use hand and power tools to assemble and fasten components.
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and assembly drawings.
- Inspect materials and completed assemblies for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read a tape measure and interpret basic blueprints or assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely handle large metal components and materials.
