Position Summary

UFC FIT Plantation is seeking a reliable, hands-on Part-Time Facility & Equipment Technician to support the upkeep, cleanliness, safety, and preventative maintenance of our club. This position plays a key role in ensuring our fitness equipment, recovery amenities, turf areas, and facility remain in top condition for our members.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and functionality throughout the club.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•  Conduct daily facility walk-throughs to identify maintenance, safety, and repair needs. 
•  Perform preventative maintenance on strength and cardio equipment, including: 
  •  Cleaning equipment 
  •  Lubricating and greasing cables, pulleys, and guide rods 
  •  Inspecting weight stacks and moving components 
  •  Adjusting and tightening equipment as needed 
•  Maintain and deep clean recovery amenities including: 
  •  Red Light Therapy Chamber 
  •  Cryotherapy Chamber 
  •  Recovery Studio equipment 
•  Deep clean and maintain turf training areas using specialized tools and equipment. 
•  Assist with assembly, installation, and repair of fitness equipment and facility fixtures. 
•  Perform minor facility repairs including painting, touch-ups, hardware replacement, and general upkeep. 
•  Maintain accurate preventative maintenance and repair logs. 
•  Order and organize maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts. 
•  Complete monthly safety inspections and OSHA-related facility checks. 
•  Support special projects as assigned by the General Manager and Operations Manager. 
•  Ensure all maintenance work is completed in a safe and timely manner. 

Qualifications

•  Previous maintenance, facilities, handyman, or fitness equipment repair experience preferred. 
•  Experience working in a gym, health club, fitness center, or similar environment strongly preferred. 
•  Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand and power tools. 
•  Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs independently. 
•  Ability to lift 50 pounds and work around fitness equipment. 
•  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
•  Reliable transportation and flexible availability.

•  Fitness equipment maintenance or repair 
•  Preventative maintenance programs 
•  Commercial cleaning and facility upkeep 
•  Recovery equipment maintenance 
•  Basic electrical, plumbing, or HVAC knowledge
