Maintenance Assistant

Gardens of North Olmsted is now North Olmsted Nursing and Rehabilitation, a 160-bed facility providing long-term care, skilled rehabilitation, intensive outpatient care, and memory care. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Tech/Floor Tech. 

Maintenance experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred!

DUTIES:

• Responsible for all maintenance department operations and personnel.

• Regular inspections of the facility for safety, upkeep, appearance and equipment performance.

• Supervise and assign maintenance staff responsibilities and schedules.

• Schedule and ensure completion of all maintenance and repairs.

• Provide oversight of maintenance/repairs and ensure contracted services are completed in a timely fashion.

• Maintain records of all repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections.

• Coordinate department operations, budgets, and monitoring expenditures.

• Ensure all maintenance work is in accordance with State/Federal and OSHA standards.

• Must have the ability to be “on-call” for emergency situations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior supervisory experience in a healthcare maintenance setting.

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong work ethic, intense drive, initiative for quality service.

• Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office.

• Ability to multi-task / stay on task and maintain focus in stressful situations.

• Evidence of solid leadership and supervision skills.
