Packer/Shipping Associate

Description:

The shipping associates carefully package items for outbound shipment. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure accuracy & quality in every parcel prepared. Packers must follow internal guidelines for the use of void fill materials and boxes. They will work alongside a Shipping Lead and Supervisor to ensure products are packaged in a timely manner and prepared accurately.

This position is responsible for the following tasks:

·         Scan order contents for accuracy

·         Package goods using trained standards for parcel assembly

·         Have a basic level of computer literacy to navigate our packing system

·         Safely operate a pallet jack

·         Assist other departments or tasks as needed

Other key items worthy of note are the following:

·         Able to repeatedly lift to 30lbs, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without reasonable accommodation

·         Be able to stand for long periods of time

·         Be able to work in a non airconditioned environment
