Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: New Brighton, PA 15066 (relocation assistance provided)

Schedule: Monday - Friday in person

 

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join our team to help us sustain our rapid growth. We have significant opportunities available for this position and a great outlook for future advancement. We have great relationships with our clients and looking for a candidate who can sustain and grow those relationships. Your compensation will be commensurate with your past experience and current abilities. We offer bonus and overtime pay to all employees - these are in addition to the salary range for this job. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial auditing, risk management, and technical accounting. If you have a strong analytical mindset and a background in accounting/auditing, this role is perfect for you.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct financial audits of governmental clients following GAAS standards
  • Analyze client financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance
  • Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements based on COSO framework
  • Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans
  • Review general ledger accounting entries for precision
  • Utilize financial software to extract and analyze data
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in governmental accounting
  • Provide guidance to clients on technical accounting issues

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred
  • Must have experience in financial auditing and/or corporate accounting.
  • Proficiency in GAAS, COSO framework, and technical accounting principles
  • Strong knowledge of risk management practices
  • Experience with various financial software applications

 

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines
  • Previous experience in conducting governmental audits of schools, municipalities and authorities
  • Ability to lead audits effectively and supervise staff on engagements.
