Maintenance Mechanic - Electrical & Fabrication

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an Maintenance Mechanic with a background in electrical service and metal fabrication for an industrial manufacturing client in Alpine, Alabama. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced managers to develop, drive, and eventually own the site's maintenance program.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $25–$33/hour DOE

Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (some on-call)

Key Responsibilities

• Install new equipment and modify existing equipment

• Troubleshoot equipment problems, assemble parts lists, and repair as needed

• Conduct electrical testing, remove outdated services, and install new connections

• Manage time and resources to provide effective, timely, and efficient repairs and maintenance service

• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment

• Perform unplanned maintenance on all equipment when breakdowns occur

• Help develop and grow a Preventive Maintenance Program

Required Qualifications

• Good math and measurement skills

• Skilled in metal fabrication

• Experienced in welding

• Experience with 2-phase and 3-phase electrical services

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Ability to assemble parts lists

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

• Pre-employment drug screening and background check

Work Environment

This role regularly requires the use of personal protective equipment, including hearing protection and eyewear, and working near moving mechanical parts. Occasional work at heights of four feet or more with fall protection is required, along with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions and vibration. Candidates must be readily available for unscheduled calls. Moderate noise levels should be expected.
