Work Location: New Brighton, PA 15066 (relocation assistance provided)
Schedule: Monday - Friday in person
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join our team to help us sustain our rapid growth. We have significant opportunities available for this position and a great outlook for future advancement. We have great relationships with our clients and looking for a candidate who can sustain and grow those relationships. Your compensation will be commensurate with your past experience and current abilities. We offer bonus and overtime pay to all employees - these are in addition to the salary range for this job. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial auditing, risk management, and technical accounting. If you have a strong analytical mindset and a background in accounting/auditing, this role is perfect for you.
Duties:
- Conduct financial audits of governmental clients following GAAS standards
- Analyze client financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements based on COSO framework
- Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans
- Review general ledger accounting entries for precision
- Utilize financial software to extract and analyze data
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in governmental accounting
- Provide guidance to clients on technical accounting issues
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred
- Must have experience in financial auditing and/or corporate accounting.
- Proficiency in GAAS, COSO framework, and technical accounting principles
- Strong knowledge of risk management practices
- Experience with various financial software applications
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Familiarity with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines
- Previous experience in conducting governmental audits of schools, municipalities and authorities
- Ability to lead audits effectively and supervise staff on engagements.
