Temp Production Supervisor (1st Shift) needed

Pay rate: $36 - $46 per hour (depending on experience)
Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:10 PM, Monday - Friday
Location: Vance, AL

PrideStaff is seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor for our client in the Vance area. This role is responsible for driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe, team-oriented work environment in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team to meet daily production goals and performance expectations
• Plan, schedule, and assign personnel to ensure efficient production flow
• Monitor production performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements
• Enforce standardized work, quality procedures, and safety protocols
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring proper use of PPE and equipment
• Train team members and ensure required skill levels are achieved and sustained
• Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes
• Support production needs by adjusting priorities and stepping in as needed
• Oversee staffing of machines and processes to ensure optimal efficiency
• Manage employee time, attendance, and scheduling through ADP
• Coordinate equipment changeovers, first-piece verification, and communication of quality alerts
• Maintain documentation and ensure alignment with production schedules

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of standardized work, industry-standard quality systems, and manufacturing processes
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and build a strong team
• Solid problem-solving and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of basic math concepts (fractions, ratios, proportions)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use
• Forklift and First Responder certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Associate degree preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Flexibility to work weekends and rotating shifts as needed
