Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Wednesday–Friday)
Shift Length: 12 Hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Job Description
CT Technologist to join a busy acute care imaging department. The ideal candidate will perform a wide range of CT procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care, safety, and diagnostic image quality. This position requires proficiency with CT imaging, contrast administration, IV insertion, patient positioning, and collaboration with radiologists and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring safety.
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate CT imaging equipment and adjust technical factors using ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principles.
- Assist physicians during CT-guided procedures using sterile technique when appropriate.
- Administer contrast media and medications as ordered.
- Perform venipuncture and start IVs for contrast-enhanced studies.
- Transfer and manage imaging data through PACS and other imaging systems for radiologist interpretation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure imaging rooms and equipment remain clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Assist with patient scheduling and workflow to maximize department efficiency.
- Support the education and training of radiology students and staff through instruction and mentoring.
- Perform basic clerical duties including patient registration support, answering phones, scheduling, and record management as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience.
- Previous travel assignment experience required.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- Active Maryland state radiologic technologist license.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification.
- Current COVID-19 vaccination documentation (state-recorded vaccination required).
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols, radiation safety, and patient positioning.
- Experience with IV insertion, venipuncture, and contrast administration.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Must be flexible to work the assigned schedule without scheduling restrictions.
