JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (ABEM/ABFM/ABIM/AOBEM/AOBFM/AOBIM)
• Licenses: Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license; Active DEA registration with Mississippi address
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA required (Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, V)
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA only), ATLS, PALS; BLS required unless EM boarded
• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in specialty; residency training in IM or FM
• Other Qualifications: Current CV (month/year format), case logs from past 2 years, CME/CEU documentation for past 2 years, malpractice coverage history, immunization records (COVID, Flu, Varicella, MMR, Tdap, Hepatitis B, TB testing within 30 days of start)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED
• Manage acute and life-threatening conditions in accordance with standard protocols
• Perform emergency procedures as required (e.g., intubation, central line placement, suturing)
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient throughput
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
