Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Local & travel allowed.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Medefis Program - Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Previous operating room experience required. Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures.
Required Credentials: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
Special Requests: Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing accommodations during the assignment.
Unit Details: Supports patients throughout the perioperative experience and works closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff. Prepares operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies; maintains sterile technique; assists during procedures with instrument handling, tissue retraction, and patient positioning. Assists with patient transport, specimen management, documentation processes, and postoperative preparation activities. Uses Meditech.
Shift & Scheduling: Assignment starts on Wednesdays. Mon-Fri plus potential call. Must participate in call coverage and respond within required timeframes for urgent or emergent procedures. During the week of orientation, 48-hour contracts receive 36 hours due to the midweek start.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
Proof of identification required
