Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• AS completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: UPMC (SimplifyVMS) Direct Program and no current placement allowed at Program: UPMC (SimplifyVMS) Direct Program.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: IR (Interventional Radiology), Neuro IR, and vascular experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: ECMO experience preferred.

Required Credentials: Completion of an accredited technical program is required.

Preferred Credentials: Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Science preferred.

Special Requests: Clinicians may be eligible for an earlier start date if they have recent PA fingerprint results and PA Child Abuse Clearance Results (obtained within <5 years).

Unit Details: Assists with invasive cardiac procedures including right heart monitoring, myoendocardial biopsies, left heart catheterizations, and interventional procedures. Monitors patients before, during, and after procedures and documents all parts of the procedure in the Cath Lab hemodynamic system. Uses fluoro equipment, film processor and/or filmless system, defibrillator, monitoring equipment, and interventional devices. Supports information gathering for research patients.

Shift & Scheduling: On-call required.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or the alternative certifications CI, RCES

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
