Fitter Welder

We’re hiring experienced Fitter/Welders with WABO certification in FCAW for structural steelwork. Must have strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to fit and weld components to exact specifications while meeting quality and safety standards. This is a contract-to-hire role.

Compensation: $30 - $38/hr, DOE

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 630 am - 4:30 pm, OR Monday - Thursday, 4:30 pm - 3 am, OT as needed

Location: Orting, WA

Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and fit structural steel per blueprints.
• Perform FCAW welding to industry and WABO standards.
• Interpret blueprints and work orders with precision.
• Inspect welds and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Operate welding and cutting tools safely.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain welding equipment.

Requirements:

• WABO certification in FCAW is preferred, if you don’t have the certification you will have the opportunity to go through the certification process as part of the hiring process
• 2+ years of experience in structural steel welding/fitting preferred
• Proficient in reading blueprints.
• Strong welding and technical skills.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.
• Attention to detail and safety-oriented.
