Leak Tester/Tig Welder - NH

A manufacturing company is seeking to fill an open position for a Leak Tester who can make TIG Welding repairs on fuel tanks. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Job Duties:

• Perform leak testing on diesel fuel tanks and hydraulic reservoirs in accordance with established work instructions and quality standards
• Identify the source of any leaks found and perform Tig Welding repairs on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum to correct them
• Read and interpret prints to verify tanks and reservoirs conform to specifications
• Follow written work instructions accurately and consistently
• Use basic hand tools and apply working knowledge of various thread pitches and thread types when inspecting and servicing fitting and ports
• Maintain accurate and complete records of test results
• Report identified defects or recurring issues to Quality and Production as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Job Qualifications:

• Must have basic knowledge of TIG Welding and able to product acceptable TIG Welds on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Must be able to accurately and safely u se basic hand tools and various pitches and types
• Must have strong attention to detail with the ability to read blueprint reading and follow work instructions
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis and stand for the duration of the shift
• Must be comfortable being exposed to welding light/fumes, noise, and typical fabrication shop conditions; Required PPE must be work at all times
• Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues

Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered. Must be able to pass a basic shop math and print reading test.
