Shop Welder (MIG) – Fabrication Shop
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Shop Welder for a fabrication client in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced welder with a strong background in MIG welding and steel fabrication. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel components.

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.

• Fabricate, fit, and assemble steel components according to specifications.

• Prepare materials by measuring, cutting, grinding, and cleaning as needed.

• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.

• Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of MIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.

• Experience working with carbon steel.

• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for the duration of the shift.

• Reliable work history with strong attention to detail.

• Must successfully pass a hands-on MIG weld test prior to hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with steel fitting and fabrication.

• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.
