Telemetry RN

Licensure & Experience
License: Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)

Experience: Minimum 1 year of Telemetry RN experience

Certifications Required: BLS

Preferred: 
ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale

Clinical Skill Requirements:-

Telemetry & Cardiac Monitoring:
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
On-unit and remote telemetry monitoring
Use of Rapid Response Teams
Post-MI and post-cardiac angiogram care
Pre/Post cardiac cath care, TR band management

IV Therapy & Medication Administration:
Central, peripheral, and PICC line management
Starting IVs
Blood product administration
Heparin protocols
Cardiac drip management (with and without titration)
IV insulin protocols

Respiratory Support:
Non-invasive airway management
External CPAP/BiPAP
High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
Oxygen delivery devices (face mask, nasal cannula, portable tank)
Chest tube care (Emerson/Pleur-evac)

Other Requirements:
Isolation precautions
Wound care and wound vac usage
