Requirements

• Licensed in Iowa as a Registered Pharmacist
• Graduate of a College of Pharmacy
• 2–4 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications

• PharmD preferred
• ASHP Accredited PGY-1 Residency preferred
• BCPS Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of hospital/clinical pharmacy practices

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient-centered pharmaceutical care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
• Manage medication therapy and clinical interventions
• Support medication-use systems and pharmacy operations
• Conduct medication reconciliation and discharge counseling
• Participate in stewardship programs and quality improvement initiatives
• Monitor patient medication safety and therapeutic outcomes
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and operational workflows
• Mentor pharmacy students and staff training programs

• Experience with hospital systems and medication ordering platforms
• Microsoft Office proficiency
