OR Tech II (Tier 2) - Surgical Technologist

Summary

Join a leading acute-care hospital as an OR Tech II, supporting surgical teams across multiple specialties. This role is ideal for experienced Surgical Technologists who can confidently function as a first scrub in advanced surgical procedures while maintaining high standards of patient safety and surgical excellence.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of Operating Room (OR) Tech experience
• Graduate of an accredited Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT) program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred
• Must be competent to perform as First Scrub in at least 3 of the following specialties:
• • Robotic Surgery
  • Total Joints
  • Neuro/Spine
  • Vascular Surgery
• Strong organizational skills
• Efficient with sterile and wire-handling techniques
• Team-oriented mindset
• Must live within 30 minutes of the facility due to on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical suites, instruments, and equipment
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and draping
• Scrub in and provide instruments during procedures
• Handle specimens and anticipate surgical team needs
• Monitor surgical equipment and patient status throughout procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with room turnover

Pay

• Base Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
• Night Shift Differential: +$3.00/hr
• Weekend Differential: +$3.00/hr
• On-Call Pay: +$3.00/hr
• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000

• Mixed Schedule (Rotating Weekends)
• • 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Night Shift (Rotating Weekends)
• • 3 x 12-hour shifts
• On-Call Required
