Paralegal
Our client, a nationally recognized trial law firm is looking for a dynamic, results driven, 5 plus years Paralegal to join their busy commercial litigation practice. The ideal candidate should be ready to assist the senior paralegals and attorneys with case work. Responsibilities would include establishing, organizing, maintaining pleadings, correspondence, attorney trial notebooks, expert witness notebooks, document indexes and lists, reviewing and analyzing matters for the purpose of preparing status reports to attorneys and clients, scheduling hearings, settlement conferences and prehearings, requesting and tracking legal, and medical records, reviewing and outlining depositions, indexes and summarizing documents, docketing and calendaring deadlines, providing assistance in the trial of cases including the scheduling of witnesses and tracking exhibits, and proofreading and marking legal documents. Cite checking experience is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have very strong Office Suite, organizational and technical skills. • At least 5 years of paralegal experience supporting civil litigation matters in a law firm or comparable legal setting.• Demonstrated background in commercial, complex business, construction, or insurance defense litigation.
• Hands-on experience managing discovery, court filings, and trial preparation for active litigation matters.
• Proficiency with case management software and legal document systems used to track deadlines, filings, and matter activity.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures, document handling standards, and file management best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and legal support teams.
