\n-American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life support for the Healthcare provider (BLS) or an American Heart Association (AHA) approved equivalent is required.
\n -Newly hired, experienced sonographers must be registry eligible through the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).
\n -Sonographers will be required to be registered in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB) and Vascular (VT). Each registry not obtained at the time hire will need to be completed every 9 months until all registries are complete.

\n Job Summary:
\n Position requires knowledge of imaging techniques for all areas of ultrasound, including OB/GYN, Abdominal, Small Parts, Breast (site specific), Vascular, OR, and Procedure in accordance with ACR guidelines and department-specific policies. The role involves providing 24/7 coverage of the Ultrasound Service with rotating Saturdays, holidays, and call coverage. Responsibilities include performing sonographic examinations according to department standards and protocols, producing high-quality images, recognizing normal anatomy and pathology, analyzing physician orders and patient history, and contributing technical and professional knowledge to interpreting physicians. The candidate will work with other departments for scheduling and throughput of exams, provide sonography services at various locations, and demonstrate proficiency in EPIC/Radiant and PACS information systems. Additional duties include maintaining equipment, practicing infection control, assisting radiologists during procedures, and effectively communicating to ensure seamless patient care.
\n Required Qualifications:
\n - Proficiency with ultrasound equipment.
\n - Basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
\n - Graduate or student in a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE), or Canadian Medical Association (CMA) for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology.
\n - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent.
\n - Registry eligibility through the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).
\n - Registrations required in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB), and Vascular (VT), with completion deadlines every 9 months for registries not obtained at the time of hire.
\n Preferred Qualifications:
\n - One year of current clinical experience.
\n - Substantial training and current clinical experience with ARDMS registry.
\n - Familiarity with McKesson PACS and Epic EMR.
\n - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasound/Sonography.
\n Additional Information:
\n - Failure to meet requirements within the specified timeframe will result in dismissal.
