American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience and community hospital background for a short-term acute care facility.

  • Short-term acute care hospital setting in the Nuclear Medicine department
  • \n
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • \n
  • Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • \n
  • May float to other facilities based on need
  • \n
  • Uses Cerner for charting
  • \n
  • Utilizes Siemens equipment including Spectrum DSpect
  • \n
  • Performs procedures such as bone scans, myocardial studies, renal studies, thyroid studies, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, lung scans, and brain scans
  • \n
  • Skills include adenosine and Persantine infusion, pharmacological stress testing, and SPECT imaging
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • \n
  • BLS and CNMT or NMTCB certification required; IN license required if applicable
  • \n
  • Community hospital experience required
  • \n
  • Cerner charting experience required
  • \n
  • Proficiency in drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and isolation precautions/PPE
  • \n
  • Experience with storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
  • \n
  • Pending state license accepted
  • \n

  • First-time travelers are accepted for this role

  • Local candidates residing in Indiana are accepted
  • \n
  • Candidates must work 2 of 3 major holidays
  • \n
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • \n
  • Free parking provided
  • \n
  • Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required for all travelers
  • \n
  • Two supervisor references required for consideration
  • \n
  • Prior IU Health perm or PRN employees must be separated from employment for 12 months before applying as a traveler
  • \n
  • Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment must take a designated break to reset eligibility
