Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification for a community hospital setting.

Details\n

  • Community hospital setting within a 3-room Nuclear Medicine unit
  • \n
  • Serves adult inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient populations
  • \n
  • Caseload of approximately 13-15 patients per day with a 1:4 patient ratio
  • \n
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • \n
  • Hours may vary depending on workload
  • \n
  • Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required for all travelers
  • \n
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • \n
  • Siemens equipment experience preferred
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • \n
  • BLS certification required
  • \n
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required
  • \n
  • License required if applicable
  • \n
  • Community hospital experience required
  • \n
  • Experience with IV starts and PACS required
  • \n
  • Procedure experience required in cardiac, bone scan, liver/spleen scan, lung scan, thyroid studies, tumor localization, and myocardial studies
  • \n
  • Preferred experience in brain scan, renal flow, and SPECT procedures
  • \n
  • 2 supervisor references required
  • \n

  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • \n
  • Candidates must work 2 of 3 major holidays
  • \n
  • RTO of 5 days or less can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
  • \n
  • Indiana residents are considered local candidates
  • \n
  • Any past PERM or PRN employee of IU Health must be separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
  • \n
  • Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment must take a designated break to reset eligibility, with break length depending on residency status
  • \n
