- 18-bed ICU (all private rooms with negative pressure capability) \n
- Typical ratios: 1:2 (CRRT/Organ Donation 1:1; may flex to 1:3 during overflow) \n
- Average daily census: 13 patients \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care experience \n
- Previous travel experience preferred \n
- Required Certifications:\n
- \n
- BLS \n
- ACLS \n
- NIHSS \n
\n - Must be experienced with:\n
- \n
- CRRT \n
- IABP \n
- Mechanical Ventilators \n
- Post-code/Therapeutic Hypothermia \n
- Vasoactive drips \n
- Sedation & Paralytics \n
- Central line care/removal \n
- Titration of critical care drips \n
\n

- Sepsis \n
- Pneumonia \n
- COVID \n
- CHF/COPD \n
- DKA \n
- Overdose \n
- Renal Failure \n
- Neurosurgical patients (lumbar drains, ventriculostomies) \n
- General Surgery \n
- MI & Vascular patients \n
Shift & Scheduling
\n- \n
- 12-hour shifts:\n
- \n
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM \n
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM \n
\n - Self-scheduling available \n
- Block scheduling considered based on unit needs (not guaranteed) \n
- Every other weekend required \n
Floating
\n- \n
- Required to float to Stepdown and Med-Surg when needed \n
Support
\n- \n
- Intensivist: 7 AM–7 PM \n
- Hospitalist overnight \n
- Dedicated RT during the day \n
- Pharmacist on unit daily (7:00 AM–4:30 PM) \n
- 1–2 PCTs depending on census \n
Charting & Equipment
\n- \n
- EMR: EPIC \n
- Phillips telemetry monitoring \n
- ICU nurses interpret rhythm strips \n
Dress Code
\n- \n
- Royal Blue scrubs \n
- No hoodies or sweatshirts \n
- \n
- Unexpired Driver's License required with submission \n
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required \n
- Travelers must be willing to float within their skill set \n
- Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs \n
- Rare call/standby requirement \n
