Join a busy Level III Trauma Center Labor & Delivery team caring for a diverse OB population in California's beautiful Central Coast. This assignment offers a mix of Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing with opportunities to circulate C-sections while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.
\nThe unit includes:

- 14 Labor & Delivery beds \n
- 6 OB Triage beds \n
- 2 C-Section OR suites \n
- 28 Postpartum beds \n
- Approximately 250 births per month \n
Patient population includes:
\n- \n
- High-risk pregnancies \n
- Antepartum patients \n
- Pre-eclampsia \n
- Insulin-dependent diabetics \n
- Substance abuse pregnancies \n
- Deliveries of all gestational ages \n
Additional Information βοΈ Day Shift: 7:00 AM β 7:00 PM π Every other weekend required π First to float to Postpartum π« No call (may occasionally be placed on standby) πΆ Must circulate C-sections (scrub experience preferred) π©ββοΈ Charge nurse typically does not take patient assignments π Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines (typically 1:2 laboring patients) π» EMR: Cerner π©Ί Fetal Monitoring: Fetal Link π₯ Level III Trauma Center β First-time travelers should have strong independent L&D experience π Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week contract Required Certifications BLS ACLS NRP Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) Active RN License COVID Vaccination
