Ongoing Coverage Beginning August 2026 • Level IV Trauma
Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Greenwood, Mississippi.
This assignment offers physicians the opportunity to provide broad-spectrum emergency care within an established community emergency department serving Greenwood and the surrounding Mississippi Delta region. Coverage begins in August 2026, with an ongoing need for physicians who can consistently provide a minimum of five shifts per month.

- Specific shift times and available dates will be provided during the screening process
- Physicians must be able to complete all credentialing and onboarding requirements without outstanding items before their scheduled start
Practice in an established community emergency department equipped to evaluate and stabilize a broad range of adult and pediatric emergencies.
The department includes:
- 15 primary emergency treatment beds
- Eight additional fast-track beds
- Dedicated emergency imaging and laboratory access
- Level IV trauma capabilities
- Level II stroke services
- 24-hour emergency care
Clinical Scope
- Evaluate and treat adult and pediatric emergency department patients
- Manage acute illness, injury, and undifferentiated complaints
- Perform emergency procedures within granted privileges
- Evaluate, stabilize, admit, discharge, or transfer patients as clinically appropriate
- Coordinate care with nursing, diagnostic, inpatient, and specialty teams
- Provide timely and complete emergency department documentation
- Participate in emergency stabilization and trauma care consistent with the facility’s capabilities
- MD or DO
- Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license & DEA
- Minimum two years of recent emergency clinical experience
- Completed residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Current ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Current ATLS
- Current PALS
- Current BLS unless exempted because of Emergency Medicine board certification
Candidates may hold one of the following:
- American Board of Emergency Medicine
- American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
- American Board of Family Medicine
- American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine
- American Board of Internal Medicine
- American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine
- Ongoing monthly scheduling
- Minimum commitment of only five shifts per month
- Broad community emergency medicine practice
