Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated COTA Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our collaborative and progressive team at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, a 513-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Syracuse, New York. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in helping our patients recover and regain their independence. Responsibilities:

• Follow treatment plans to help restore day-to-day functionality and independence to our patients

• Provide personable solutions to accommodate our clients' unique needs and preferences

• Assist with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability

• Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Requirements:

• Current New York State Occupational Therapist Assistant licensure (new graduates encouraged to apply)

• Responsible, caring, and dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistants who enjoy helping patients and making a great impact in their personal development

• Effective and engaging verbal/written communication skills

• Ability to comfortably interact with people of diverse backgrounds
