Summary: A Produce Department Manager’s role is to oversee and coordinate all activities in the Lassen's Produce Department, in collaboration with guidance and instruction from the Store Manager and Regional Produce Buyer. A Produce Department Manager ensures cleanliness and organizational standards are met, maintained and exceeded within the department at all times. A Produce Manager may be expected to obtain extensive knowledge of Natural Foods and some basic knowledge of Nutritional Supplements including vitamins, herbs, amino acids, sports nutrition, food supplements, and health and beauty aids.

Supervisor ResponsibilitiesDepending on the Produce Department size and volume, directly supervise 0 to 5 Team Members in the Produce Department. The Produce Department Manager’s responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; regularly reviewing and responding to communications from the Administrative Team on the Daily News & Actions document; appraising and documenting performance and job results, rewarding and disciplining Team Members as needed; addressing complaints and resolving problems with customers and Team Members.
