Phlebotomist - VA Maine Medical Center - $25/hour + Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Augusta, Maine. This full time, one year contract begins in August 2026 and offers competitive hourly pay, comprehensive benefits, a consistent schedule, and the opportunity to provide exceptional care to our nation's Veterans.

Duties

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and timed laboratory draws. 
• Process laboratory specimens and prepare samples for reference laboratory send-outs. 
• Maintain patient safety while providing compassionate, high quality care.

Shift Needs

• Day Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM 
• Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM 
• Rotating Weekends (1–2 per month)

• Minimum 3 years of recent phlebotomy experience 
• Experience with venipuncture on adult patients 
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• National phlebotomy certification preferred
